Huf Haus GmbH & Co. KG 

A German company operating worldwide and based in Haternfels, Westerald region, that manufactures prefab homes. Huf Haus is the world’s leading firm in selling houses in the Bauhaus architectural tradition based on the German Fachwerk (“Frame House”) design. The construction allows individual floor plans, including for residential as well as office buildings. The homes, also called Huf houses, are available as zero-energy buildings.

My love of Huf Haus started in my youth, when my family business helped them as a company to put together a bespoke package which included, funding, sourcing land, planning, and development  in order for the  clients to have the opportunity to build their dream home in the UK. 

The pictures you see are from a project for one of our clients in Weybridge Surrey. You may have also seen this style of house on the well known Grand Designs which is one of may favourite shows of all time. The reason I love Huf Haus is not only because of the eco-friendly approach, but because of the variety of different designs one can have and the clever integration of timber frame and glass. Also because of the solid pre fab foundations they can be built quicker than most houses.
